Minneapolis, MN’s modern rock band Strange Daze released its 1st National album, Shine Through, on November 11, 2013, via Rock Ridge Music LLC/ Warner. Shine Through is an anthemic collection of modern rock forged in fiery emotional urgency. Re-released by Pavement/Sony/Red in 2016. New Self-Titled album was released in June of 2022.
The band’s fateful career moment came when engineer/producer Brian Johnson—who helmed the sessions for the band’s first two albums—passed along a CD to .38 Special keyboardist Bobby Capps, who now manages the band. Impressed, Capps shared it with 3 Doors Down guitarist Chris Henderson, his partner in Nashville, TN-based Rivergate Studios. Capps immediately signed on to produce Strange Daze with Henderson’s and Johnson’s help.
Says Henderson of Strange Daze: “They’re a refreshing band! Love the vibe and the songwriting. Scott's vocals are very powerful.” Capps concurs, adding, “Strange Daze was a pleasant surprise in the studio! It's been a while since I've come across a band that has such a tight grip on straightforward rock music. Lyrically and musically, they do not try to over complicate the listener. They are a truly talented band and prove it live every time they hit the stage.”
The album has a crisp and punchy production aesthetic, highlighting the group’s expansive dynamic range. “The biggest thing I loved about the producers is that they gave their opinion, but they never forced their hand on who we are. They just made our music come alive,” Strange Daze guitarist/vocalist Eric Moudry says. Kirk Kelsey, best known for co-producing/engineering landmark albums for Creed and 3 Doors Down, stokes the album’s burning potency with his richly dimensional mix engineering.
Strange Daze has gigged extensively throughout Minnesota and the Midwest, averaging 100-plus shows a year and selling out of its first two CDs, exceeding 10,000 in sales with no label involvement or formal distribution outlet. The quartet reached #9 on CMJ's Top 200, beating out superstar artists like No Doubt and OutKast. Additionally, Strange Daze has charted on 30-plus stations. The band has been played on more than 250 stations nationwide and several stations across Europe. Strange Daze has

If an event is cancelled due to weather, tickets will be reimbursed or can be exchanged for another performance. Performances will not be cancelled as long as performers are able to make it.
While exchanges are not allowed between different events, in the instance of a multi-day set for the same event (for example, our 3-day Nutcracker performance) a patron can exchange tickets to a different day by paying a $5.00 per order exchange fee.
There is no outside food or beverage allowed inside the venue. We will have concession stands open with options for your indulgence.
Prohibited items include those which could be used as a weapon, unlawful substances, bottles or cans, helium balloons, laser pens, umbrellas, backpacks, knapsacks, luggage, coolers, parcels, briefcases, tablets and like articles. Please note that guests with prohibited articles will be turned away at the entrance. GB Leighton, a band named after one of the regions’ most incendiary live performers and consistently solid songwriters, Brian Leighton. Through almost three decades and fourteen albums, Leighton and his band have been tearing up rock clubs, festivals and even a few fan’s living rooms with a slew of songs that connect with the heart and couples singing along out on the dance floor. “A man of the people” is a phrase usually reserved for statesmen and politicians, but for Leighton, it’s a fitting description when you see him in action working a crowd.
Where have we seen this phenomena before? Springsteen in Asbury Park before he lit out for New York and the wider world; Mellencamp back in those anonymous Indiana bars; Leighton delivers that same inescapable rock ‘n’ roll spirit night after night. “If I hadn’t heard a bunch of Bruce’s bootlegs or seen the videos I’d be a much different musician,” he says today. “He’s always been a great songwriter and performer, like a preacher almost who commands an audience. That’s the place I’m coming from. But at the end of the day, I’m just a common guy, a working class kid from a Twin Cities suburb who loves to put on a good show and hopefully write some good songs in between.”
Leighton made his national country debut with “Get Up”, his eleventh album. For Leighton, who was also honored by Billboard.com as a Top 10 Country Artist to Watch as well. Leighton’s music has clearly left a lasting impression in the Midwest as fans have inked themselves with his lyrics.
“This is the only thing I ever wanted to do. I don’t see stopping or changing it up no matter where it takes me and the band.”
